Write a lot

Write broadly first, then come back later and decide what deserves depth.

Write a lot first, in code or text. The point is not to polish the first pass. It is to make enough material that the shape starts showing itself.

Once there is enough on the page, the useful pieces start to separate from the filler. Some lines carry the idea, and some do not. That is what makes it possible to see what sticks.

Then the later pass gets simpler. Come back, deepen the parts that still matter, and leave the rest rough or cut it entirely.
